World Health Day 2015: From farm to plate, make food safe

http://www.who.int/mediacentre/news/releases/2015/food-safety/en/

Hi! hope everyone is enjoying the spring break.  April 7 is world health day and it will be celebrated with World Health Organization (WHO) highlighting the challenges and opportunities associated with food safety under the slogan "From farm to plate, make food safe." unsafe food can contain harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites or chemical substance, and cause more than 200 diseases. some years ago I was so busy with work that I hardly have time to prepare meal I always eat out. I remember always been ill with typhoid some years ago, after seeing a particular doctor for years, I decide to book an appointment with another doctor who ask if I drink water from the tap I said no, he also ask if I eat fast food a lot,  I said yes, he said water is not only what causes typhoid that not eating right is also a serious cause. I discover it was true when I stop eating out I no longer have typhoid. Today, WHO is issuing the first findings from what is a broader ongoing analysis of the global burden of food-borne diseases. the full results of this research, being undertaken by WHO's Food-borne Disease Burden Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG), are expected to be release in October 2015.

  1. It makes me feel good to know that there are organizations out there that cars about food from all over the world. they put efforts together to ensure the safety of food. we as consumers, do we have to aside and let do the work? I don't think so. to complete what has been done, consumers are the final key to conclude by following simple hygiene.
